As the autumn leaves fall and we move into November, I wanted to provide you with an important update on the development of the Drop Print Plugin.

The past few months have been incredibly productive, culminating in the significant UI overhaul we rolled out recently. Your feedback on the new interface has been invaluable, and we’re continuing to refine and polish in preparation for our first general release.

To ensure we can deliver the most robust and polished version of Drop Print possible, we’ve made the strategic decision to temporarily pause active feature announcements and BETA launches of the plugin until Spring 2025. This focused period will allow us to concentrate all our efforts on the crucial final stages leading up to our initial public launch. We’ll be dedicating this time to rigorous testing, optimising performance, and solidifying our infrastructure to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for all users from day one.

As part of this focused effort, we will also be temporarily suspending development and support for our bulk edit Etsy tool, “Drop Edit.” This will allow our team to channel all resources towards the successful launch of the core Drop Print Plugin. We understand this may cause some inconvenience for Drop Edit users, and we appreciate your understanding.

Furthermore, during this period, we will be evaluating the best long-term strategy for our support resources. As a result, the current Drop Print support website might undergo restructuring or even be moved to a new location in the coming months. We will, of course, keep you informed of any changes to ensure you can still access the help you need. Please bear with us as we work to create a more scalable and sustainable support system.

We are also actively exploring various options for pricing and subscription models for the first full version of Drop Print, as well as strategizing the best approach for its public rollout in Spring 2025. These are crucial decisions that will shape the future of Drop Print, and we are carefully considering all possibilities to ensure a fair and valuable offering for our users.

Please be aware that during this intensive final push, our response times to emails may be slower than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we dedicate ourselves to bringing you the best possible first version of Drop Print.

For our valued users of the legacy printing tools from Alden Fine Print & Co., please take note that the final update to those systems is on the horizon. We strongly encourage you to prepare for a full migration to the Drop Print Plugin by April 2025. This timeframe aligns with our anticipated availability of the first General Availability (GA) version of Drop Print. We are confident that Drop Print will offer a significantly enhanced and future-proof solution for your printing needs.

To reiterate, the purpose of the Drop Print Plugin for WooCommerce is to empower shop owners to seamlessly sell high-quality giclée prints worldwide by leveraging our global network of vetted fine art printers. We handle the complexities of production and logistics, allowing you to focus on your art and your customers. Looking ahead, we also envision offering developer access via an API, opening up exciting possibilities for further integration and customisation.

Finally, please note that the previous tutorials website has now been removed as its content has become outdated with the recent UI and upcoming changes. New, comprehensive tutorials will be integrated directly into the plugin and our updated support resources closer to the public launch.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. We are in the final stretch, and we are incredibly excited to bring the full power of Drop Print to you in Spring 2025!

Yours aye,
Callum
